Okay, I cant work at expo cos I'm holding a student's pass. Since i'm not Singaporean/PR, I cant work in a government sector, which means I most probably cant work as relief teacher also.
Was rather disappointed cos I actually intended to start working today le, so i started sms-ing my friends from the Fudan trip and Xue Ping who has a tuition centre immediately called me to go Parkway to meet her.
Since I was at Tanah Merah, I went ahead and she hooked me up with 2 interviews with her neighbouring tuition centres. The pay is like 5 bucks an hour, which is really not much, but at least its something la. Plus the bosses are her friends so got relation which is safer. Got this Kumon marking job which only need me to go on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so if I get it I can find another more flexible day job at the same time.
I hope the relief teacher thingy gives me reply soon if not I'd be sort of wasting my time waiting for the results and lose my chances of working asap.
Hui Yun also promised to help me ask about the job at radio station which involves getting phone calls and editing news, waiting for good news~~
Haiz, i hate my neither-here-nor-there status as a Malaysian student who studies in Singapore and has a Singaporean father.
