I shall aim to:
Put in more effort in school work in order to avoid last minute frantic typing in front of the computer or running to and fro RBR to photocopy the book I need for class 30 minutes before the lesson. In this way I assume I can actually save more time for more important stuff like leisure.
Put in more effort in my part time work in SPH so I can get to finish more articles and meet more people to interview, and also to earn more money. I had actually emailed a lecturer because she mentioned she had jobs to recommend students who are interested, dealing with translation stuff in the literati scene and I had a positive reply from her. Sometimes you have to take the initiative in order for your world to operate the way you hope it to be.
Spend my time wisely, and not waste them on pointless waiting. Waiting for people who are late. Waiting for the next bus because I decided not to run for the one which had just left. Waiting for the traffic light because I had decided not to run across the road while the green man is flashing from a distance. I am lazy, but perhaps the time I gain may be worth my effort.
Always carry a book around so I can read whenever I have the chance so as not to waste the time away. I want to get my hands on Auntie Mame, Portrait of A Lady, Howard's End, Alice in Wonderland, Sandman and The Graveyard Book. I also want to carry my quote books around with me while I read so I can continue my habit of writing down the quotes I like.
Be able to hold my liquor, keep some alcohol at home and drink a little whenever I like. Learn how to make a gimlet.
Keep my hair long enough, go for a rebond and a haircut plus colour. Get a tattoo of an ankh at the back of my neck.
Go for make-up lessons.
Continue drawing.
Be more Maryann. Step by step, darling.
