Singapore's Entertainment Scene ( or lack thereof )

I shall say this once and for all:
Mediacorp shows sucks.
The Actors and Actresses all suck.
The scriptwriters must be living in HK/Korea/Japan/Taiwan since obviously they get all their ideas from there.

I totally do not understand why Dawn Yeoh is regarded as The Next Big Thing.
Her acting consists of 3 stages : pouting, looking pathetic, and whining.
Her voice can match that of Minnie Mouse's.
In the show "The Peak" she was suppose to be feminist and against the discrimination against women in the architecture field, and she spend most of the time stamping her foot and whining when something doesnt goes right.
And, i've only watched a grand total of 10 minutes of the show before my ears starts falling off and I had to super-glue them back.

And i dont understand the whole Chrstopher Lee and Fann Wong saga.
They admitted a relationship that almost everyone knew after years, and the media can still pester them and writes so many articles regarding it.
And for goodness sake, Christopher Lee drank-drive-knocked-ran-away, even though he admitted his mistake and suffer in silence -whatever-shit, he is in the wrong. I think the media is so wrong to psycho everyone that he is the one who deserves some sympathy and kept emphasising on how he dared to take responsibility, his professionalism to finish his filming and not let his personal feelings get the better of him etc.
Come on, this is so biased.

And, Jack Neo announced he wants to film a movie about Huang Na or NKF saga, and Mark Lee is his intended choice of Ah Hao.
Firstly, nobody really knew what happened cos the parties involved are both dead, so who is he to film about something we all knew but doesnt understand?
Secondly, to milk profits out of someone's misery, especially when this whole issue is still, to me, an unsolved mystery, and with the families of the dead still around, it disgusts me.
The biggest director in singapore should be able to come out with something with more conscience.

When I have the money, I'll subscribe to SCV, cos I miss the days when I actually sit in front of the TV watching TV shows instead of DVDs.
I havent catch a single episode of ch 8 shows for 4 years.
