My Religion

Let's talk about my religion.

I would like to think of myself as an agnostic.

ag·nos·tic–noun
1. a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.

During soci tutorial today we were talking abit about religion, and I really wasn't paying much attention until my tutor came to the part about how religions are still active today.

One of the explanations was a very pragmatic one, about how a particular religion can best fulfil our requirements and can offer us the most that we want, and thats why people choose it.

I get reminded of the suicide bombers and how they believe there will be 72 virgins in heaven waiting for them.
Or how Christians claim that by believing in God and promoting the religion, they can eventually ascend to the heavens while the rest of the sinners go to hell when it is judgement day.
Do they try their best to convert others because they want to help us to go to heaven with them, or do they try to convert people because they believe the faster they recruit more people, the earlier Jesus will come and receive them, and they can get out of this dump we call Earth?

Anyways, I believe in the presence of gods and deities and fairies and demons.
I believe in divine intervention and I believe the Earth is so beautiful and the Universe so magnificent that someone must be behind them.
But I do not know who these gods are, I do not know how to reach them.
I believe nobody really knows as well.
