"What's great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the President knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it."
Well, problem is, the bum and I drink from the can, Liz Taylor drinks it from a coloured glass cup with silver linings delivered by her servant, and the President, well, who cares?
So what about the LV, the Hermes, and the Prada, or even the VAIO laptop I'm dying to get?
Of course no amount of money can get you a better LV, thing is, some people practically need to sell themselves and still cant earn the amount to get that to-die-for bag in 3 lifetimes.
Not to mention those dying under the sun from hunger who have not even heard of Coke, so whats up with the LVs, Pradas and Guccis?
Likewise, the richest 2% who owns 50% of the world's fortune hasnt heard of poverty too.
What a coincidence.
